This is for all Emerging Leaders and Aspiring Entrepreneurs

If you missed The Emerging Leaders and Aspiring Entrepreneurs Seminar in Abuja last Week Saturday then you really need to go through the report…you’ll be glad you did.

The Life Coach and Social Entrepreneur, Mr Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwu (C.E.O) has urged the youths to take the role of a leadership which starts from recognizing who they are before what they do.

In a mentoring session with the C.E.O tagged “Emerging Leaders and Aspiring Entrepreneurs Summit” held in Abuja on Saturday.

He noted that leadership has been widely accepted as influence authenticated by followership, which it is of great importance to note that been influential, does not make one a leader.

furthermore, he added the qualities of a good leader as; VISION: youths must have a clear picture of the destination called “FUTURE”. KNOWLEDGE: which is the edge you have by means of what you know. As they say ” study to show thyself approved”. SERVICE: according to Ubuntu Philosophy “I Am because We Are”. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: he said, a leader must be honest enough to acknowledge his bias, but must be objective largely not to allow that to influence his judgment, amongst others.

C.E.O stated that great leader, must learn to forgo past hurts for further hopes, as he must adequately be courageous to acknowledge his mistakes and profer solutions.

Above all, in the first session of “Emerging leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs”, he noted a great leader must be able to decode the “writing on the wall” at every point in time.

How To Be A Thought Leader

@OludayoOlumuyi speaking in one of his teachings on *Miximizing Influence* on LinkedIn said; “Don’t seat a chair to cheer, always share what you know to terminate fear!” That’s was #Deep Be involved in people’s success stories, be deliberately part of people’s success story; that’s how to become a leader of influence…βœ”οΈ
*Do you know that a confused man is a blind man? Be very careful if you don’t know where you are going, because you might end up no where in life.
> KNOWLEDGE is knowing what you WANT while WISDOM is choosing what you NEED.
Don’t be too shy or too proud to seek advice, but be very careful
from who and where you seek advice.
The only advice you can get from a fool is a foolish advice. 😜

I saw an inscription just now while returning from Ibafo Youth Skill Acquisition Wealth Training along Ogba: “Wealth is an attitude” This is indeed trueβœ”οΈΒ Wealth is not about how much you have in your bank account nor success equal to achievement; it goes across your level of impact on the earth and its occupants; this is what determines your wealth! No wonder @exclarado said “The is indeed our responsibility!” Thank you @daviddwisemankitchen for putting this life-changing and nation building skill acquisition wealth training together for your localesΒ πŸ™πŸ»Β

Fabulous Bukayo is one of the few amazing women I have on my network that is also doing exceptionally well when it comes to giving-back to the society. This year made it two the second year she shared her CSR vision with me (how she would love to add value to the physically challenged individuals that have capacity to learn and make do with their psychomotor domain…)
According to her, if this people are empowered with skills, they will not be a concern to the society but rather be a value added individuals (knowing fully well that some organizations may not want to employ them) but if they have hand-work, hence they have automatically created jobs for themselves….

So this week, we concluded one week Ankara craft training for Students @modupecolememorial I can tell you that the centre is really doing well. We were privileged to meet the PTA Chairman, Mr Babatunde Willoughby who told us about how the children are doing well in vocational…. According to him, he said his daughter who has DS picked interest in photography and now she is not doing bad. Just last month, The Governor of Nasawara, Umar Tanko Almakura presented her a Canon camera to further push her interest, and also built a centre over there too for the physically challenged individuals to learn for free! Great act there sirπŸ‘Β This gives me a positive feeling that some of our leaders are not doing bad… God bless the governor for doing this.

It’s important to also mentions what Mr. Willoughby pointed out in our meeting with him, he said “These special individuals need not to be abandon but need love and care, they didn’t create themselves but fate did…”
God bless you @FabulousBukayo for this initiative. Together, we can grow and develop our nation by doing the little we know how to do.

It’s World Press Freedom Day: May 3rd!

It’s #WorldPressFreedomDay and Team Bajol Integrated Services has written this wonderfum piece for us to reflect on what today stands for globally. I am sure you did be happy for me sharing this for your education.
It is time to reflect on the sacrifices journalists make to inform us, and on how free societies cannot exist without a vibrant news media.
Just a quick one, this is an extract from statement made by: Commonwealth Spokesperson Richard Uku in 2014
“In deference of a free press
Today, 3 May, a day to recognize the essential contribution of journalists and journalism to national and international efforts to achieve peace, democracy and diversity.
A free and responsible media is the foundation of any successful nation, and a precursor for social and economic progress and sustainable development. Social and economic development, science and technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, all of these rely on the ideas and new ways of working brought to us by an independent media.
Good governance and media freedom are not mutually exclusive principles, rather they are β€˜mutually dependent’. Only when journalists are given the space to operate freely – to observe, ask questions and report, without fear of arbitrary reprisal – can a nation be confident that decision-makers will be held to the highest standards.”
Kudos to those who fought for this. You can imagine if this freedom wasn’t fought for, what would be the fate of the social media that is now a tool for engagement?
